Burn
BURN FOR CHATGPT

Turn your health data into a useful conversation.

Understand your week, spot patterns, and find a realistic next step. Connect your Google Health account, then ask Burn about the data you choose to share.

Already have the Burn plugin?

Open a Work chat, type @, and select Burn. Ask “What data can you access, and which permissions are missing?” If your Google Health account is not connected, start with step 1.

GET CONNECTED

Three steps to your first insight

For a new connection, use the custom server setup below. Availability depends on your ChatGPT account and workspace permissions.

  1. Choose what Burn can read

In your Burn dashboard, choose Connect Google Health for ChatGPT. Sign in with the Google account linked to Fitbit and select the optional data categories you want to share.

This permission is separate from your dashboard’s Google Health connection. Connecting Google Health does not install the ChatGPT plugin.

    Open Burn dashboard
  2. Add the connection in ChatGPT

Open ChatGPT Plugins and choose + → Add custom MCP server. Enter these settings:

    Name
    Burn Health
    Authentication
    OAuth
    Client registration
    CIMD

Choose Client ID Metadata Documents (CIMD) when asked. You don’t need a client ID or client secret.

    Open ChatGPT Plugins

Review ChatGPT’s warning and choose Create as a plugin. Sign in to Burn, authorize read-only access, and install the plugin when prompted. The Google permission and ChatGPT authorization are separate steps.

  3. Ask about your actual data

Open a new Work chat, type @, and select Burn Health (or Burn if you use the existing plugin). Start with:

What health data can you access? Summarize my activity from the last seven days, and tell me what is missing.

Extra categories such as sleep, nutrition, and health metrics need your Google permission and a plugin version that supports them. Ask Burn to check its capabilities before using those prompts.

MAKE IT USEFUL

A better question. A clearer next step.

Copy a prompt into a chat with Burn selected. Ask for dates, units, and missing-data notes so the answer stays grounded in your records.

PUT YOUR DATA TO WORK

Good questions. Useful answers.

Start with one of these 28 prompts, then make it your own.

Set up Burn

Copy a prompt. Open ChatGPT Work, select @Burn (or @Burn Health for a custom connection), and paste it into your chat.

Answers depend on your permissions and recorded data.

28 prompts to explore

Activity

Get the big picture

Use Burn to give me a clear overview of my last 7 complete days: steps, active minutes, workouts, sleep duration, and resting heart rate where available. Compare with the previous 7 days, include dates and units, and finish with three observations. Identify missing days and unavailable metrics; do not infer causes or diagnose anything.

Workouts

My workout week

Use Burn to list my exercise sessions from the last 7 complete days, with activity type, start time, duration, distance, and calories where recorded. Summarize session count and total duration by activity type.

Sleep

My sleep week

Use Burn to summarize my sleep for the last 7 complete nights, with bedtime, wake time, and duration where available. Show the average and list nights without a record. State the timezone used.

Health trends

Resting heart rate over time

Use Burn to summarize my daily resting heart rate over the last 30 days. Compare weekly averages, include the number of recorded days and units, and describe changes without diagnosing them.

Nutrition

What did I log this week?

Use Burn to summarize my available nutrition logs for the last 7 complete days, including calories and nutrients where recorded. Identify days with no entries or potentially incomplete logs. Do not assume an empty log means I ate nothing.

Devices & access

Review my paired devices

Use Burn to list my paired Google Health devices and any device details actually returned. Explain the limits of attributing records to an individual device. Do not claim that the Fitbit source filter isolates a particular tracker or excludes Pixel Watch.

Burn reads your connected data. These examples describe recorded trends; they do not diagnose conditions or change your health records. Each example requires tools supported by your installed version, granted permissions, and recorded data. Device and metric availability varies.

YOUR CONNECTION, YOUR CHOICE

Manage what you share

Your dashboard connection, Google permissions, and ChatGPT access each have their own controls.

Change data categories

Reconnect Google Health from the dashboard’s Burn for ChatGPT card to review the categories you approve. Check the permission screen before completing the connection.

Review in dashboard ↗

Stop ChatGPT access

Use Revoke ChatGPT access in the Burn dashboard to revoke the agent authorization. The dashboard’s Google Health connection is managed separately.

Manage ChatGPT access ↗

Disconnect Google Health

Disconnect the Google Health connection for ChatGPT in its dashboard card. To remove the underlying Google grant, review Burn in your Google account’s connections.

Review Google permissions ↗

Remove the plugin

In ChatGPT Plugins, open Burn or Burn Health and use its uninstall or removal control. Removing a plugin does not delete your Google Health records or messages already shared in old chats.

Something not connecting?

Burn reports missing permissions or no data

Check the Burn for ChatGPT card in your dashboard, reconnect the Google account linked to Fitbit, and approve the relevant category. A permission grant does not guarantee records exist: check that Fitbit has synced, try a wider date range, and ask Burn to report missing records rather than assume zero.

ChatGPT says access was revoked

Reauthorize the Burn connection in ChatGPT. If you also disconnected Google Health, reconnect it in the dashboard first. Start a new chat and select the plugin again.

I cannot add a custom server

Your account or workspace may restrict custom plugins. Review your workspace permissions or ask your administrator. In server setup choose OAuth and Client ID Metadata Documents (CIMD); a manual client ID or client secret is not needed for this setup.

A supported category or new tool is not appearing

Ask Burn to list its current capabilities. Refresh the plugin’s tools or reconnect it in ChatGPT and start a new chat. Category access depends on both your Google grant and the deployed plugin version.
